What I do
I offer assessment and treatment individualised to you either at home or in the community, working on goals that are meaningful to you.

Why Neuro Physio?
Neuro Physiotherapists specialise in the assessment and treatment of people with neurological conditions caused by damage to the brain, spinal cord or nerves.
They have expertise in analysing abnormal movement and supporting you to improve the way you move enabling you to complete functional tasks more efficiently and easily.
We look at the whole person and ultimately aim to work with you to increase your independence and quality of life.
Holistic Assessment
This can take up to 90 minutes and is a full comprehensive assessment. We will talk about your condition and how this impacts your ability to do day to day tasks and activities you enjoy and discuss how I can support you to achieve your goals. It also involves a physical assessment looking at things such as your posture, the way you move, your strength, balance and the way you walk and complete functional tasks.

Goal Setting
Together, we will agree and set goals which are meaningful to you—whether it’s walking to the shops, cooking dinner for friends, running a marathon or just being able to move a bit better and feel more in control!
Rehabilitation and Treatment
Rehabilitation and treatment will depend on the outcome of your assessment and your needs and goals. I believe rehab works best when it is in collaboration with you so we will work together to formulate an individualised treatment plan that is holistic and meaningful to you. It may include:
-Muscle strengthening and stretching
-Balance retraining and co-ordination exercises
-Regaining and improving the quality of movement
-Relearning skills and practise of meaningful functional tasks
-Gait re-education and walking practise
-Hands on physiotherapy to facilitate normal movement, stretch and mobilise
-Education and advice on how to manage your condition and regain control
-Advising and teaching family and carers how best to support you
-Guidance and support to increase exercise intensity and fitness
-Community exercise
-Provision of a home exercise program to do between sessions and/or help you self manage your condition longer term
